In recent years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, particularly Generative AI, have advanced rapidly. While facilitating academic research and paper writing, they have also raised significant concerns regarding academic ethics and integrity. To better guide authors, reviewers, and the Editorial Board in the standardized and transparent use of AI tools, and to uphold the originality, authenticity, rigor, and academic integrity of published papers, the Editorial Board of this Journal hereby issues the following statement.
I. Author Responsibilities
1.Authors bear primary responsibility for the use of AI tools within their manuscripts. This includes ensuring the authenticity of literature and data, the reliability of research design and conclusions, and guaranteeing that the core content of the paper constitutes the authors’ original work. Authors must fulfill all relevant academic and ethical obligations.
2.If AI tools are utilized during research or writing, authors are strongly advised to explicitly disclose the specific stages of use, the proportion of AI-generated content, and the names and versions of the tools employed at the time of submission. This enables reviewers and the Editorial Board to conduct a comprehensive assessment. Failure to provide such disclosure may be considered a violation of academic norms.
3.Authors must ensure that AI tools are not listed as co-authors on the manuscript. Furthermore, authors should not cite literature where an AI tool is listed as an author.
II. Reviewer Responsibilities
1.Reviewers must adhere to the Journal's confidentiality policy. Manuscript content must not be input into any AI model to protect the intellectual property and data security of authors.
2.Review tasks must be performed independently by the reviewer. Directly utilizing AI tools to generate review opinions is prohibited to ensure the independence and professionalism of scholarly judgment.
III. Editorial Board Responsibilities and Procedures
1.This Journal currently does not employ AI tools for manuscript review.
2.This Journal strictly prohibits the use of AI tools to fabricate, falsify, or manipulate research elements such as literature, data, or figures/tables. The use of AI tools to directly generate a paper's research framework, core arguments, or substantive content is also strictly prohibited. Submissions where AI-generated content exceeds 10% of the total manuscript will not be accepted. Should concerns arise regarding a manuscript's originality or AI tool usage, the Editorial Board reserves the right to request authors to provide original research records or third-party verification reports.
3.The Editorial Board reserves the right to verify the use of AI tools in submitted manuscripts and published papers. Confirmed instances of severe misconduct will be addressed in accordance with academic publishing standards.
4.Reviewers found to be in violation of this Statement during the review process may have their reviewing qualifications suspended by the Editorial Board, as appropriate.
IV. Effective Date and Revisions
This Statement takes effect immediately upon its release date. It will be periodically reviewed and revised in light of the ongoing development and application of AI technologies. Matters not explicitly covered herein shall be interpreted by the Journal's Editorial Board.
